सरकारले एक रुपैयाँको सिक्काको नयाँ डिजाइन स्वीकृतिका लागि तयार गरेको छ, जसमा नेपालको चुच्चे नक्सा र आकाश भैरवको चित्र समावेश गरिएको छ।

मुख्य जानकारी:

• 🗺️ सिक्कामा नेपालको चुच्चे नक्सा रहनेछ।
• 🙏 आकाश भैरवको चित्र समावेश गरिएको छ।
• ⚖️ उत्पादन लागत घटाउन सिक्काको तौल र आकार परिवर्तन गरिनेछ।
• 🪙 हाल प्रयोग हुने मिश्रित धातुको सट्टा स्टिल प्रयोग गर्ने प्रस्ताव छ।
• 🔵 सिक्कामा रहेका ६४ वटा थोप्ला ६४ योगिनीको प्रतीक मानिन्छन्।

New Coin Featuring Nepal’s Updated Map Design 🇳🇵🪙

The Government of Nepal has prepared a new design for the Rs. 1 coin, featuring Nepal’s updated map and an image of Akash Bhairav.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the design has already been approved by the Council of Ministers and forwarded to Nepal Rastra Bank for further process.

Key highlights:

• 🇳🇵 The coin will feature Nepal’s updated map (“Chuchche Naksa”).
• 🙏 The design includes an image of Akash Bhairav, reflecting Nepal’s cultural heritage.
• ⚖️ The coin’s size and weight will be reduced to lower production costs.
• 🪙 The current alloy will be replaced with steel, making the coin more economical and environmentally friendly.
• 🔵 The 64 dots on the coin symbolize the 64 Yoginis, adding cultural and historical significance.

Previously, a proposed design featuring Ghar Gompa of Mustang was returned by the Cabinet for revision. Under the Nepal Rastra Bank Act, any new banknote or coin design—or any change to an existing design—must receive approval from the Council of Ministers before it can be issued.

This new coin aims to preserve Nepal’s national identity while making coin production more cost-effective and sustainable. 🇳🇵
