 अब ATM बाट रु. १०० को नोट पनि निकाल्न सकिने व्यवस्था गरिँदै

काठमाडौं — नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकले आगामी बडादशैंलाई लक्षित गर्दै ATM मेसिनबाट रु. १०० दरका नोटसमेत वितरण गर्ने व्यवस्था मिलाउन बैंक तथा वित्तीय संस्थालाई अनुरोध गरेको छ।

नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकको मुद्रा व्यवस्थापन विभाग, आन्तरिक प्रशासन फाँटले नेपाल बैंकर्स संघलाई पत्र पठाउँदै हाल ATM बाट मुख्यतः रु. १,००० र रु. ५०० दरका नोट मात्र वितरण हुँदै आएकोमा रु. १०० दरका नोट पनि वितरण गर्न आवश्यक व्यवस्था मिलाउन आग्रह गरेको हो।

ग्राहकहरूले पटक–पटक ATM बाटै साना दरका नोट उपलब्ध गराउन माग गर्दै आएको र बडादशैं नजिकिँदै गर्दा रु. १०० का नोट ATM बाट उपलब्ध गराउन सके बैंकमा साना नोट साट्ने ग्राहकको भीड उल्लेख्य रूपमा घट्ने राष्ट्र बैंकको अपेक्षा छ।

केही बैंकसँग गरिएको मौखिक जानकारीअनुसार प्राविधिक रूपमा ATM बाट रु. १०० दरका नोट वितरण गर्न सकिने जानकारी प्राप्त भएको राष्ट्र बैंकले जनाएको छ।

सर्वसाधारण ग्राहकको सुविधा तथा चाडपर्वका समयमा बैंक तथा वित्तीय संस्थामा हुने भीड व्यवस्थापनलाई ध्यानमा राख्दै राष्ट्र बैंकले यस्तो व्यवस्था गर्न अनुरोध गरेको हो।

Kathmandu — Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has requested banks and financial institutions to make arrangements for Rs. 100 denomination banknotes to be dispensed through ATM machines, especially with the upcoming Dashain festival in mind.

According to a letter issued by the Currency Management Department of Nepal Rastra Bank, ATMs currently distribute mainly Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 500 notes. However, customers have repeatedly demanded the availability of Rs. 100 notes through ATMs as well.

NRB believes that if Rs. 100 notes are made available through ATMs during the festive season, the number of customers visiting banks to exchange small-denomination notes could be significantly reduced.

The central bank also stated that, based on information received from some banks, it is technically possible to dispense Rs. 100 notes through ATM machines.

Keeping in mind the convenience of the general public and the need to manage crowds at banks during festivals, Nepal Rastra Bank has urged banks and financial institutions to implement this arrangement.

The letter, dated 2083/05/29 B.S., was signed by Anuj Dahal, Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank.
